Europe Health 2006 (EHS) focuses entirely on the personal health and wellbeing of people in 15 countries across Europe. The study highlights the ailments and illnesses that Europeans’ suffer country by country, the steps they take to maintain or improve their health and the sources of information and treatment that they use and trust. It also highlights their attitudes towards pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in general, and how they rate the leading pharma companies. Results can be analysed individually by country or as an average across all 15 countries.
Questionnaires were mailed to Reader’s Digest subscribers who, as far as possible, were identified as to be representative of the population (age/sex). Weightings were then applied as a further attempt to ensure that the overall respondent profile reflected that of each country’s population aged 18yrs+. The questionnaire content was comprised exclusively of multiple choice options, enabling each respondent to identify with a range of statements, indicating to what extent they agreed or disagreed. Fieldwork took place during June/July 2006 and data capture was handled centrally by Wyman Dillon Ltd. who are based in Bristol, U.K. In total 25,376 questionnaires were analysed. The countries included are: Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and U.K. |
