Trust in professions
The medical professions are highly trusted in most countries but not all. In Russia people trust farmers more than airline pilots, pharmacists, nurses and doctors.

Politicians continue to be the least trusted profession but financial advisors have lost 13.6% trust over the past 12 months. Compared with last year football players and car salesmen have earned more trust from the public.

Confidence in government policies
Public confidence in government in each of the 12 countries is low. 61% of people said they had little or no confidence in their government’s handling of international affairs but this is the policy that achieved top position.

The policy in which they have least confidence is state provision for the elderly. Across the 12 countries 80% of people have little or no confidence.
Overall levels of confidence vary by country and is lowest in Portugal and the CEER countries.
